Crediting of Learning Based on Prior Experience (APEL)

APEL is a process used for the purpose of identification, documentation and evaluation of learning based on an individual's previous experience. APEL can be used for qualification purposes for applications for admission to programs at Higher Education Institutions and also to accredit course subjects based on the individual's experience. It encourages the individual to continue their studies which will help broaden the scope of their employment in the future. APEL assessment at UNIRAZAK is for Diploma, Bachelor's Degree programs only.

Malaysian citizens

APEL applicants must be Malaysian citizens

Diploma Program

APEL's application requirements for the diploma program are 20 years of age with relevant work experience

Bachelor Degree Program

APEL application requirements for the diploma program are 21 years of age with relevant work experience

Diploma Certificate Without MQA Accreditation

Qualifications with non-MQA recognized diplomas of more than 2 years duration or 90 credit hours are accepted.

APEL A

APEL.A provides an opportunity for individuals who have work experience but do not have formal academic qualifications to continue their studies at higher education levels at Institutions of Higher Education. The APEL.A assessment, which consists of Aptitude Test and Portfolio Assessment components (refer to Glossary), is about formal learning, non-formal learning and non-formal learning that has been achieved so far by students.
